Discouraged and disappointed I went home. But I realized that if really wanted one, I could get one. I have been waiting 3 years to get a new phone and some stupid company and long line aren't going to stop me...I just really wanted one. So I packed some stuff and sat in line at the mall with my brother and a good friend. It was about 12:30 when we arrived at the Apple store in the mallWe had bought chairs which suprisingly no one had been doing. Pretty soon everyone had chairs though, even if they stole it from the nearby starbucks. We bought a computer, ipods, psp, games (like othello, connect four, and checkers), books, and water. Apple did supply water but ours was colder. We inched through line for hours and hours doing everything to keep entertained. Apple closed the line with about 30 people behind us and said they had plenty of iPhones. The reason the Apple store has so many iPhones is actually a secret but I will tell you anyways. They have a workshop in the back with little elfs that pop out hundreds iPhones to meet the demands. Seriously they never run out. I don't know one Apple store that ran out of iPhones...but I haven't watched the news yet either.
So 7 hours later, we walk in, pick out cases from the limited supply and buy 4 iPhones for my whole family. I got a white one because everyone was getting black, finger prints (and scatches) show less, and I can just use a case to cover the white if I want. Seriously, I still don't know what color my 5G iPod Classic is. When we were driving home, my good friend, Martin was showing off and holding up the bag so people could see we got iPhones. In the car, he decided to try and make this Hummer H2 guy jealous and flashed the bag in the window. And out of no where the guy pulled out his bag and showed us he had bought also. We realized the guy was a few people in front of us when we were waiting it line. The day was good and Apple sold plenty (never ran out) and I acutally had fun sitting in line for 7 hours, not that I'll do it again anytime soon but its an experience. (I'm just now opening the phone now...I know, its sad.)
